The investigation of the phenomenological theory of Hermann Schmitz - in the broad context
of the European phenomenology (Husserl, Heidegger, Scheler, Ingarden) - will start in October
2006 with a seminar for advanced students and doctor candidates on one of the crucial books of
Schmitz. The seminar will be organized in cooperation with and participation of Dr. habil.
Mariusz Moryn, who is the author of the only Polish book on Schmitz' theory, and Dr. Sven
Sellmer, who has written his doctorate under the scientifical assistence of Prof. Dr. Hermann
Schmitz. The aim of the study is a book on Schmitz' contribution to the phenomenological
research of today.
